New Product Announcement: Leach-Lok™️

Martlin Distributing announces the launch of their patent pending LEACH-LOK™️ liquid solidification technology. Specifically designed for landfill leachate, LEACH-LOK™️ is applied directly into the leachate treatment stream allowing LEACH-LOK™️ polymers to rapidly hydrate and solidify the treatment stream. Once solidified, the material may be placed directly back onto the landfill or further dried by other, accelerated evaporation methods.

“The LEACH-LOK™️ products were designed to meet a wide range challenges present within the waste disposal industry” said Michael Dorsch, Martlin Distributing CEO. “Landfill leachate has long been a challenging issue” said Dorsch. “Hundreds if not thousands of landfills all over the world are continuously moving tankers of leachate to remote wastewater treatment facilities daily. Increasing the difficulty of leachate management, new regulations that are targeting ‘forever chemicals’ such as perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) create new challenges for the wastewater treatment facilities as they do not have the ability to remove PFAS resulting in plant pass through directly into rivers, lakes and streams.”

“Without the ability to treat leachate by traditional means, waste disposal companies are having to consider extremely expensive treatment methods” said Dorsch. “For example, the most common option is reverse osmosis (RO) which produces large volumes of reject water that must still be dealt with thereby causing additional work, time and costs” said Dorsch. “Simply put, our aim is to solidify and effectively lock up all of the contaminants without the cost or ongoing operational challenges of an elaborate treatment system.  LEACH-LOK™️ requires a metering pump and that’s all” said Dorsch.

“The level of interest by the major waste disposal companies is nothing short of spectacular. PFAS regulations are in the very near future and we are here and ready to provide a rapid solution to their problems” said Dorsch.
